Monica Vatteroni, PhD, is the CEO and co-founder of EYE2DRIVE. She holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in Physics. With a strong technical background in CMOS image sensor design, she is the primary inventor of EYE2DRIVE’s proprietary, patented adaptive HDR imaging technology.
Dr. Vatteroni has extensive experience in both academic and industrial settings. From 2015 to 2016, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lyon. She worked on a project funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Starting Grant.
Before that, from 2008 to 2015, she was associated with the Biorobotics Institute at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. There, she focused on developing image sensors, vision systems, and sensorized platforms for biomedical applications. She also consulted for Eurotech S.p.A. and STMicroelectronics, specializing in CMOS image sensors.
From 2002 to 2008, Dr. Vatteroni worked at NeuriCam, a small enterprise in Trento. She developed intelligent CMOS cameras and designed the analog components of CMOS image sensors. After 2005, she became the lead designer for all aspects of CMOS sensor design.
Dr. Vatteroni is the author and co-author of over 30 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications and holds nine international patents.
